KJRI Jeddah Conducts Guidance and Support for Indonesian Students at KAUST

JEDDAH. The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) in Jeddah, through its Information, Social and Cultural Affairs Section (Pensosbud), conducted guidance and support for Indonesian students at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) in their participation at the Flavors of Nations 2026 Festival held in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. Two staff members from the Pensosbud Section were present to provide direct assistance to Indonesian students serving as organizing committee members, as part of KJRI Jeddah’s commitment to promoting Indonesian cultural diplomacy within the international academic environment.

On this occasion, KJRI Jeddah equipped the students with strategies for promoting Indonesian culture in order to attract international audiences, particularly Saudi nationals, and to enhance interest in Indonesia. The Consulate also provided material support for the Indonesian booth, which showcased Indonesian cuisine, arts and culture, tourism, and featured products.

The Flavors of Nations Festival is an annual KAUST event participated in by students from various countries. The program commenced at 4:00 p.m. local time and featured the Saudi national anthem, cultural performances, festival video screenings, student performances, door prize distribution, a group photo session, and visits to booths from participating countries.

The Indonesian booth attracted significant attention and enthusiasm from visitors eager to learn more about Indonesia’s culture and products. KJRI Jeddah expressed appreciation to the students for their initiative and efforts in promoting Indonesia through this international cultural event. The activity proceeded smoothly and received positive responses from organizers, students, and visitors alike. This participation is expected to further strengthen Indonesia’s positive image and enhance the friendship between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia.
