JEDDAH. Jeddah National Hospital (JNH) marked a major milestone in local healthcare with the partial inauguration of its new multi-facility hospital at Al Nuzha. The event, held on Saturday, brought together prominent guests and healthcare leaders to celebrate a new chapter for the institution after the 2023 demolition of its key facility in Sharafiyah.
The ceremony began with a ribbon-cutting led by the Hospital Chairman, Mr. V.P. Mohammed Ali. The hospital showcased its upgraded infrastructure designed to provide better care for the community.
The event was a mix of inspiring speeches and visual celebrations. Executive Director Ali Mohamed Ali welcomed the guests, followed by a video presentation detailing the hospital’s commissioning and modern structure. Dr. Saleh Alzahrani, Deputy Hospital Director, delivered the keynote speech touching the sufferings the team went through during the past three years that culminated in the opening of the new facility. Mr. Mohamed Cheriya (Managing Director, Taj Poly Clinic) and Executive Director Musthaq Mohamed Ali shared encouraging messages about the future of the institution.
A special highlight was the “Comeback” video of Chairman V.P. Mohammed Ali, who later shared his personal anecdote, shedding lights to the paths he crossed with grit. His story about the ‘Jinn’ stunned the audience. They were left spellbound by the gripping tale of a man found living in total isolation on the fifth floor of the deserted, unfinished building where the hospital now stands. After being rescued from those harsh conditions, he was provided with the care and support that completely transformed his life.
In a stirring revelation, Mr. Mohammed Ali shared that this same man has become an exemplary employee, serving as a key member of the hospital’s security team. As a final, emotional twist, he was invited onto the stage to be honored for his journey. The crowd met this powerful moment with a thunderous round of applause, making it the highlight of the ceremony.
The program also included a presentation on the history and growth of JNH, honoring its journey from its early days to its current status. Special guest Mr. Adil Vallanchira and Finance Director Mr. Ashraf Moideen also offered their congratulations during the event.
The celebration concluded with an award ceremony, a closing speech by Executive Director Dr. Mushkath Mohamed Ali, and a ceremonial cake-cutting. The event was coordinated by Dr. Amina Mohamed Ali (Academic and Executive Director) and Eng. Mohamed Naveed KM (MOI Director). Mrs. Aziya Anzar served as the master of ceremony.
